1394B-3CP1 provides four nodes for a total of eight ports of 1394B and one node for a total of two ports of USB 2.0 serial data communications. The 1394B-3CP1 card is 3U cPCI conduction-cooled board. You can use the 1394B-3CP1 card in many data communications, LAN/WAN networking, and telecommunications applications. 1394B ports support a maximum speed of 100 Mbits/s while USB 2.0 ports provide for a maximum speed of 480 Mbits/s. Each of the eight 1394B ports are hardware programmable and can support various speeds up to S100B.
A PCI bridge interfaces the cPCI bus to the 1394B-3CP1 card. Four high performance 1394B nodes are responsible for eight serial I/O ports, and one USB 2.0 node is responsible for two serial I/O ports. This card contains four OHCI compliant IEEE-1394B LLC chips, four IEEE-1394B Phy chips, an OHCI and EHCI compliant USB 2.0 Host Controller, USB Power Switch, transceivers and transformers (one per 1394B port), and a PCI Bridge. Host processor accesses card via cPCI interface.
