B4X-CPCI-2A is a dual-port 10Gb/s CPCI InfiniBand host channel adapter (HCA) that drives the full performance of high-speed InfiniBand fabrics. Designed to provide the high throughput and low CPU utilization required for 10Gb/s embedded data transport applications and high performance computing clustering (HPCC), the HCA is configured with 128 MBytes of DDR memory. This HCA includes ciruitry to detect and power an IB4X-OMC device that is used to convert the card's copper media interface so that it enables the use of fiber. Using the media converter with this HCA, you can select copper or fiber media on a port by port basis. The IB4X-OMC is required to use fiber.
