Zdecydowaną zaletą tego wielozadaniowego komputera są jego możliwości komunikacyjne. Komputer można wyposażyć w moduły: GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA (EMIO-1534/EMIO-1538), WLAN (EMIO-1530-A1A1) oraz 20-kanałowy GPS (EMIO-1532) odbierający sygnał z satelit za pośrednictwem zewnętrznej anteny, którą można zamontować np. na dachu pojazdu. Komputer może posiadać również Bluetooth (EMIO-1531) kompatybilny z wersją 2.1., ma także wbudowane gniazdo na kartę SIM.
