Advantech's new SOM-5780 is the next generation embedded System On Module (SOM) that is compliant with the COM Express standard from PCI Industrial Computer Manufactures Group (PICMG). SOM-5780 incorporates bus interfaces for PCI Express, Serial ATA, USB 2.0, LVDS, and serial DVO, which brings multiple benefits for modular design applications.
