The MIC-3081B CompactPCI is a 10U enclosure with eight CompactPCI slots for rack mounting, providing a flexible, configurable development platform. It supports an 8-slot H.110 CT bus backplane and rear I/O designed to speed up the implementation of telecom Internet and industrial automation applications.
Optimized for Cooling Airflow with Hot-swap Fans
A 2U space underneath the card slots accommodates six 80-CFM high speed fans to force cooling air into the system. All fans in this chassis are hot-swappable, allowing users to replace fans without interrupting the operation of the system. The fan’s tachometer output enables the alarm module to monitor fan speed.
System Fault Detection and Alarm Notification
The MIC-3081B has a built-in intelligent alarm module, the MIC-3924L-AE, to monitor the fan speed, chassis temperature and power status. The module is upgradeable to MIC-3924A-BE which can monitor and report internal conditions via SNMP trap detection, e-mail, and pager or beeper notification. The system’s status, including CPU (SBC) temperature, system power voltage levels, and fan speeds can be easily checked remotely from any web browser for administrative monitoring.
Hot-swap Passive Backplane with H.110 CT Bus
The 6U-sized 8-slot backplane of the MIC-3081B supports 32/64-bit operation, and complies with PICMG 2.1 CompactPCI hot swap specifications. Eight CompactPCI slots are available for one system master board and seven 32/64-bit CompactPCI peripheral boards.
